Bettina Smith:
Mezzosoprano Bettina Smith (Norway) graduated with distinction
from the Bergen Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music, the
Hague, Holland.She completed her studies at the
International Opera Studio of the Opernhaus Zurich, Switzerland.In addition to being an opera singer singing in
venues such as Opernhaus Zurich, Staatsoper
Berlin and Muziekteater Amsterdam, Bettina is an
active chamber musician, oratorio singer and recitalist with performances all
over Europe. Being a student of the renowned singer Elly
Ameling, Bettina has specialized in the German
and French art-song.Bettina has received numerous
prizes at international competitions and prestigious scholarships such as the Herber von Karajan Music Legacy.
Oded Ben-Horin:
Oded Ben-Horin is a lyricist,composer and vocalist who studied music at the
Hebrew University (Jerusalem), the Royal Conservatory (Holland) and received a
Masters Degree for vocal jazz performance from the MusikHochSchule
Luzern (Switzerland).He has recorded and written
music and text for different settings on the German Radio, and is the bass
singer of the Swiss acapella group, a-live (2nd prize
Swiss Eurosong competition 2002, 2nd prize Graz,
Austria international acapella competition 2003).He
is the leader,composer and lyricist of "Welcome
To The Science Fair", an experimental concept combining Word Jazz, Jazz
Poetry and Vocalese,with which he has performed ,
among other places,at the Jazz Festival Willisau (Switzerland).
